Great Wyrley Concert Band were proud to join our local community in marking Remembrance Sunday . It is always an honour for us to provide the music for this occasion.
Many thanks to Hannah who played The Last Post to mark the start of the two minute silence.
Sadly, due to unforseen circumstances, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our Carol Concert that was due to take place on Saturday 7 December at Great Wyrley Community Centre.
Luckily, we have several other Christmas events lined up, so there’s plenty of opportunities to see the band out and about around the local area. As always, we will be dusting off all the Christmas tunes you know and love and we are debuting several new (but familiar) pieces this year. Can’t wait!

Our annual Last Night of the Proms concert at Hayes Green Community Centre is one of the bands favourite concerts – it’s always a fun evening for players and listeners alike.
As well as dusting off the traditional Proms music that make this such a well-loved event, we have also been working on a few new pieces which we hope will be just as popular. More details soon.
The band will be getting our summer season underway on Saturday 8th June at Cheslyn Hay Primary School between 11am and 2pm. Free entry and lots to do and see for the whole family.
Our next concert is an exciting new venture for the band. On Sunday 5 May, we will be joining forces with The Cannock Music Centre. We will perform separately and also as one massed band.
The performance starts at 2pm at Cardinal Griffin Catholic College, Cardinal Way, Stafford Road, Cannock, WS11 4AW.
Tickets on the door.
Please contact us if you need any more information

It will be a fun evening for the whole family, so grab a table and don’t forget your snacks and drinks!
This is a Pay as You Like event – there’s no set entrance fee, but we welcome your donations which help us keep the band meeting and performing.
